  • Fabric: 100% cotton, proofed with wax and mineral oils, soft finish, colour brown
  • Lining: Wool viscose blend knitted fabric, 400gsm, colour black
  • Cuffing: Neoprene with nylon facing both sides, 2mm CR, colour black

Care Information

  • Spot clean: wipe down the outer oilskin with a damp cloth or soft brush
  • Full wash: hand wash in cold water and hang to dry naturally in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or flame

  • Do not use hot water, soap, detergent, bleach, or any other cleaning agents — these will strip the oilskin of its proofing properties

What is Oilskin?

Oilskin is a waterproof fabric with a history dating back to the 1700s, originally developed by sailors using treatments such as linseed oil, tar, whale oil, or paint to achieve waterproofing and durability.

Today's oilskin is engineered from 100% cotton that undergoes a wax treatment process, keeping the wearer dry in rain while remaining strong and breathable. Modern oilskin is high performance in wet and cold conditions, and equally sought after as stylish casual outerwear.
